Local SEO
Simple SEO tips for a local business website
Practical SEO improvements local businesses can make to improve service pages, trust signals, local relevance, and search visibility.
Local SEO works best when the basics are clear. Search engines and customers both need to understand what you do, where you do it, and why someone should trust you.
Start with your homepage. It should clearly say the services you provide, the locations you serve, and the next action a customer should take. Avoid vague phrases like “solutions for every need” unless the page also explains the actual services.
Next, check your service pages. A good service page should answer common customer questions, explain the process, show proof, and include a clear contact option. Thin pages with only a heading and a few lines usually do not help much.
Images matter too. Use real images where possible, compress them, and write alt text that describes the image naturally. Do not stuff keywords into every image.
Finally, keep the site clean. Remove old test pages, duplicate pages, checkout pages you do not use, and unfinished tools. A smaller, clearer website often performs better than a messy one with lots of weak pages.
The goal is not to game search. The goal is to make the business easier to understand and easier to trust.
