It has been an absolute pleasure to work with my Committee colleagues and the committee

staff, who do so much of the underlying work that make these inquiries a reality. I thank

everyone involved, including the Hansard team that record our spoken words and the audio-

visual teams that make public access and transparency a reality, including when we are

undertaking regional public hearings.

Most of all, I thank the general public who, invited to participate in this process, rose to the

occasion and gave us their frank and fearless advice. In so many instances they gave

generously to their neighbours and communities during a time of critical need.
